This area is for noting problems in published sources.

Even the most carefully researched works may have errors in them. By posting messages here, we can help avoid future authors from repeating the errors.

We should try to be careful in what we post here. Generalities in a book are difficult to prove wrong. It is better to focus on specific statements.

If you have errata for a book, please post it under an already existing topic on that book. If there isn't one, please initially post a reply to this post, giving the author(s) name(s) and title of the book as a subject. Inside the body of the message put publication information (possibly indicating the various publications it has had, including reprints).
Do not put your errata on that post.

Then post a reply to the post with the book title, this time you can include the errata. I suggest the subject of this post to be both the page number(s) and a description about the error.
