: In particular, Maryland Silver Co. offers plans, but I have not ordered plans from them and have no basis on which to recommend (or not) them.

I have just received a set of plans for $61, including a shipping tube, for the Virginia, but you will not get any dimensions for the casemate or its structural components, if that's what you're after. I emailed the owner requesting specifics of the plans and never heard back. I took a chance and ordered the plans. The plans do show the gun deck and cutaways of the hull of the Virginia, but if your aim is to build a model of it, this is not the way to go. You could scale from them, but the ones from the Maritime Museum, which I have, are far cheaper and would do as good a job.

I'm still trying to find structural information on the casemate, such as size of timbers, spacing and such, but I can't seem to find anyone with that information. I'd like to do a shadow box diorama of the interior of the casemate, so any information on that aspect of it would be greatly appreciated.

Hope this helps.
Jim
