Tindall indicates that there is a description of a second scar on the Monitor's deck in a description of a meeting on the Monitor with Lincoln at the Washington Navy Yard.
This apparently refers to "The Monitor and the Merrimac: Both sides of the story" told by Worden, Greene, Ramsay. (Actually a person at that event recounts the alleged words from 50 years later!)
I find no reference in that book of the second collison. I could have missed it though..
